In vintage years, the shape and thickness of Fender guitar necks varied tremendously. The American Vintage II Series features authentic neck profiles from Fender’s past. Crafted at our Corona, Calif. manufacturing facility, this genuine Fender American Vintage II 1973 Stratocaster guitar neck features a ’73 «C»-shaped profile and 7.25″-radius round-laminated rosewood or maple fingerboard with 21 vintage-tall frets. The large ’70’s headstock and 3 bolt neck design with Micro-Tilt mechanism add the finishing touches to this vintage-style neck.

The bone nut is pre-slotted with «pilot» string location grooves to make spacing a breeze when performing the final string slot filing and a gloss polyurethane finish offers a vintage feel. This replacement neck is the perfect way to give your Strat an authentically ’70s feel.

This replacement neck is for a Fender or Squier by Fender guitar.

Because Fender genuine replacement necks have not been mounted to guitar bodies, nut slots must be cut by qualified personnel. Other installation processes may be required, such as fret work, fitting the neck to the neck pocket, and other instrument setup procedures. Your local FMIC Authorized Service Center can install genuine replacement necks; find Authorized Service Center locations near you in the «Support» section of fender.com.
